Public invited to provide feedback on Bow River reservoir options

Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP) has short-listed three Bow River reservoir options.

This upcoming Tuesday, October 15 is the last of three public information sessions intended to share project information and collect public feedback.

Bow Basin Water Management Options Info Session #3

Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
RockPointe Church
255024 Lochend Road (25 minutes from downtown)
Calgary, AB

This is an important opportunity for stakeholders to get their feedback on record. That includes all Calgarians who would be protected from future flooding by the selected reservoir.

In June, we reported on AEP’s progress through the Conceptual Assessment (Phase 1) of the Bow Basin Water Management Options (BBWMO) project as they reviewed 10 reservoir options.

Now the project has narrowed its selection to three top choices:

  • New Glenbow reservoir
  • New Morley reservoir
  • Relocated (and expanded capacity) Ghost River reservoir

You can find additional information on the BBWMO project at https://talkaep.alberta.ca.
